Andrea Evans, ‘One Life to Live’ and ‘Young and the Restless’ star Andrea Evans passes away at age 66 from breast cancer. Andrea Evans, a popular actress who appeared on “One Life to Live,” “The Bold and The Beautiful,” and “Passions,” has passed away. She was 66 years old.
Evans passed away on Sunday at her home in Pasadena, California, after a battle with breast cancer, her agent Nick Leicht confirmed to USA TODAY on Monday. Leicht stated in a statement that she was “such a tremendous talent and an absolute joy to work with.”
Evan Husband
Evans’ husband Stephen Rodriguez described her as a “remarkable individual, cherished by all who knew her” in a statement to USA TODAY. We were always motivated by her undying courage, optimism, and unbreakable spirit as she bravely battled this unrelenting sickness.
At only 19 years old, Kylie Rodriguez, Evans’ daughter, said in a statement that “words cannot adequately express the depth of my sadness.” She said that “my world has been forever changed.”
“All who were fortunate enough to know her left a mark on her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love for life,” she added. “During her battle with illness, my mum showed incredible strength… She gave me the priceless lesson of finding joy even at the darkest of times despite the agony and uncertainty. Until the very end, we remained hands-on.
Evans Passed
Evans passed away on Sunday at her home in Pasadena, California, after a battle with breast cancer. Nick Leicht, Evans’ agent, provided a Monday confirmation to USA TODAY.
Evans made her television debut in 1978’s NBC miniseries “The Awakening Land” as Fay Morrison Wheeler.
On the ABC program “One Life to Live,” which starred Erika Slezak as Victoria Lord, Evans was cast as Tina Clayton, subsequently known as Tina Lord. According to Evans’ IMDb biography, she repeatedly played the same part over the years, with the most recent time appearing in the show in 2011.
The Young and the Restless
With additional roles on “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and “Passions,” Evans solidified her reputation as a soap opera icon. Evans portrayed Tawny Moore on “The Bold and the Beautiful” from 1999 to 2000, and Patty Williams Abbott on “The Young and the Restless” from 1983 to 1984.
Evans appeared in over 600 episodes of the NBC drama “Passions,” where she played Rebecca Hotchkiss, between 2000 and 2008.
During her career, Evans received two Daytime Emmy nominations. She was a nominee for excellent actress in a new drama series (“DeVanity”) in 2015 and outstanding performer in a drama series (“One Life to Live”) in 1988.
Her Spirit Survived
Her spouse determined that she handled the difficulties with grace, fortitude, and an unwavering love of life. She was a wonderful mother and wife. She was my KING. Andrea passed away from cancer, but her spirit survived. Every person she impacted still carries her energy with them today.
Even though my mother is no longer physically there, her love and spirit will always be with us, her daughter continued. I’ll use the teachings she gave me about love, kindness, and perseverance to help me get through the challenging trip ahead.
